[sv]relative]100,000 hits!

Shortly before the April 4, 2005 update we got hit #100000, and I invited giftart. The one I liked best was to go on the front page. Although, of course, all of it was fantastic and much appreciated. You really like me!
Take a look at some of the entries we got...

The eventual choice for the front page was drawn by Angnix, who also had a "nice version" containing me not getting beaten up :P It was a narrow choice between Ang's and WDot's, but W didn't reference the slogan so that pushed Ang over the line. :P Here, then, is WDot's art. Damn it, I thought I had lots of different people posting! GUess it's just D and MBob...

That's not to say Ang and W were the only two contributors. Oh, no. The ever-thoughtful SVMB members celebrated our modest achievement in style...

Ragey was the first to "whip up something quickly". I only wish it WAS a million hits.

Then came Ashura with this sporty red number. It's the big one-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh! (Except, again, it's apparently 1000000 according to the filename. I guess that last 0 is thanks to Photobucket.)

Vertical like Ireland's banknotes (well, before they switched to the Euro), Cheesy's effort also celebrates the lesser numbers leading up to 100000...

Dtails wondered which of two slogans he should go for, and settled on this. (The other was "Because you already know you love us" which I believe is already taken. Plus, come on, this one is just cooler.) The filename only grants SV 10,000 hits, I note :P

Next up was Breaker, who gave us another take on the slogan with "Because you know it owns you." Which it does. This came close to winning too - it's even in splash-page size!

Then came Reck's chronological effort. I like, although I was still on 16-bit Estel at 1000 hits. Note that again the filename suggests I have a million hits - do these filenames know something I don't? o.o

Fiery hosted an awards ceremony, the 100,000th Hit Awards. I wasn't aware these existed. But I hope there's a free buffet XD

Last but not least, Tronic hit the ground running and sped through some fast puns. He jumped at the chance to make this pic - he didn't leave the issue all up in the air!

Next up, we hit 200k. I didn't really promote the occasion, so it mostly passed without comment. Nevertheless, we got a giftart to celebrate! Thanks, Mark!
