[sv]informative]the vegemite section!
Celebrating 50 Years Of The Happy Little Vegemites Song 1954-2004
The name of this site is Sonic Vegemite. So therefore, it's only fair that I should probably have some sort of information about Vegemite on the page. Here goes...
[what is]vegemite?

Vegemite is officially labelled as a "concentrated yeast extract". The yeast in question is taken from the leftovers created by the brewing of beer.
It was invented in 1922 in Melbourne, Australia by Fred Walker and Dr. Cyril P. Callister (the one had the idea, the other created the recipe.)
It was not a commercial success until 1935, when the Fred Walker Company (now part of Kraft) started giving it away for free with other Walker products; when the giveaway ended in 1937, Aussies had been convinced to actually pay money for the stuff.
It is so rich in Vitamin B that is was once endorsed by the British Medical Association, and was part of Australian Army rations in WW2.
However, it was in 1954 that it became relevant to the rest of this site; that delightful "Happy Little Vegemites" song that plays so constantly in "When Tails Gets Bored" was written then.
It's mainly used as a toast or sandwich spread, but the humans at Kraft have tons of other recipes using the stuff.
Spread it thin. Especially if you haven't tried it before. It's salty. Trust me on this.

The Lyrics:
We're happy little Vegemites, as bright as bright can be,
We all enjoy our Vegemite for breakfast, lunch, and tea,
Our mummy says we're growing stronger every single week,
Because we love our Vegemite,
We all adore our Vegemite,
It puts a rose in every cheek!

Yeah, believe it or not, there is an Official Vegemite Website put up by Kraft themselves. It has school project material (because, y'know, don't you get projects about Vegemite?), nutritional info, a Vegemite and Australian history timeline, and recipes.
Go there if you're particularly bored (which you obviously are, seeing as you clicked on this link in the first place)...
